Week 2 résumé recap

Contenders are FBS teams in this edition's AP Top 25, plus any other FBS team with zero losses or one loss and at least one win. The page keeps 16. When more teams qualify, better AP ranks come first. Teams outside the poll come after ranked teams, then fewer losses, then more wins.

Each card lists the team's record, its two wins over FBS opponents with the best current records, and every loss. Opponents' record before playing them, and since playing them, adds up those FBS opponents. Before means their games before the meeting. Since means their games after it, through the last week in this edition. A win over a team with a winning record means that opponent has more wins than losses.

Wins aging best are the five wins by these contenders whose opponent has the best record since the game. Opponents still finding their footing are the five with the worst record since. An opponent needs at least three games since. Résumé movers are the contenders whose past opponents had the best and worst combined records in the latest week of games.

NR means not ranked in the AP poll for this edition. The edition is published when that poll is out, and it stays on its own page. Figures use only games through the week the poll follows. These are results and records.
